U.S. dollar index
The Us dollar Index reached the 110 area after last week’s positive closing. Non-Farm Payrolls on Friday pushed the greenback to positive territory with the eyes this week to be mainly on Thursday’s speech by Jerome Powell.
Gold
Gold prices fell slightly on Monday morning, after the small recovery on Friday, pushing the price above $1700. While greenback is getting stronger, the precious metal is receiving more pressure, and investors are waiting to see, when the precious metal will start recovering
Oil
Oil prices rose more than $1 early on Monday, while later in the day, the investors focus shifts to OPEC+ producers meeting, for indications whether they may decide to keep current output levels or even cut production to bolster prices, despite supplies remaining tight.
Stocks
U.S. stock have begun to perk up in September with Friday to be the day for the Sell off after the positive NFP data released. Long weekend this week, since Monday 05/09/2022 is the US Labor Day public holiday. Week ahead is expected to have investors eyes for Jerome Powel speech on Thursday who is expected to participate in in the discussion at the Cato Institute’s Annual Monetary Conference.
