WEEKLY ECONOMIC CALENDAR AHEAD

Here is what you need to know about the important news between November 7th 2022 and November 11th 2022, where we take a look at the economic data, market news and headlines likely to have the biggest impact on the market prices this week and beyond, as well as the US Dollar, and other key correlated assets.

U.S. dollar index

Dollar index faced a pullback after the release of the Non-Farm Payrolls last Friday, since the upward movement had already been in the price, the greenback indicator faced a 2% pullback to regain its normal levels before the NFP release.

Gold

Gold is expected to remain under pressure in the coming months, given that the Federal Reserve signalled it will keep hiking interest rates to fight inflation. Last week’s strong jobs report gives the central bank more room to raise interest rates in the coming meeting in the next few months.

Oil

Crude Oil on Friday had a bull run of 5%, after the rumours from China that they might easy the Covid restrictions, and the demand of the precious liquid will start to be higher again. However on Saturday, the Chinese health authorities dismissed the rumours , and the price of Oil early on Monday lost almost 2%

Stocks

Ahead in the week, investors will be closely monitoring fresh CPI data for October, with headline inflation seen rising 0.7% month-on-month, while core inflation is expected to lift 0.5% over the previous month. Speeches from FOMC members Williams, Mester, and the Fed’s Waller will be watched for clues into the central bank’s path of interest rate increases, in addition to initial jobless claims and Michigan consumer sentiment data.
