U.S. dollar index
The dollar indicator has reached a fresh 3-week high after the release of the inflation data last week, reaching the 104.36 level. Higher inflation data, released the chances of 0.75basis points raise for the next interest rates announcement
Us Stocks
Investors this week have their eyes on the Central bank decision which is expected to increase the rates to 1.5% for the US. Small rumours are in the air for further increase, after last weeks inflation data showing that the economy is still struggling.
European Central Bank
On Thursday, the European Central Bank kept the interest rates stable this time, keeping them at 0%. EURUSD for the next days followed a bearish momentum, reaching the 1.04, the lowest for the month
Gold
Gold prices rallied on Friday to reach 1875 before the week closed at 1871. The inflation data release earlier, created some kind of panic in the markets, pushing the safe heaven precious metal to reach the highest level since last month
Oil
The black gold dropped to 116 on Friday after the release of the US inflation data, however the China Covid lockdown release, is pushing the precious liquid to higher levels since the demand is slowly-slowly increasing from the world’s highest consumer of OIL.
