WEEKLY ECONOMIC CALENDAR AHEAD

Here is what you need to know about the important news between November 28th, 2022, and December 2nd, 2022, where we take a look at the economic data, market news and headlines likely to have the biggest impact on the market prices this week and beyond, as well as the US Dollar, and other key correlated assets.

U.S. dollar index – Gold

Gold price has reclaimed $1,750.00 as the USD Index has failed to extend its recovery despite the risk-off mood. Gold price has attempted a rebound after dropping below the critical support of $1,750.00 in the early European session as the US Dollar Index (DXY) is struggling to extend its gains after sensing strength in the Tokyo session. End of the week, the Non-Farm Payrolls are expected to be released, while during the week, on Wednesday, Jerome Powel speech, along with the ADP Non-Farm, are expected to provide indications regarding the labour market.

Oil

Oil started the week with a freefall to near 11-month low as escalating protests in several major Chinese cities ramped up concerns over increased economic disruptions in the world’s largest crude importer. The recent protests also mark a rare display of civil disobedience rarely seen in China since President Xi Jinping assumed power over a decade ago. His government’s commitment to its strict zero-COVID policy ground economic growth to a halt this year, with data due later this week expected to show a sustained decline

Stocks

Ahead in the week, market participants will be looking towards the release of the Non-Farm Payrolls as the protagonist, while during the mid-week, indications on the Labour market are expected to be shown from the ADP non-Farm. Jerome Powell is due to speak about the economic outlook, inflation, and the labour market at the Brooking Institution, in Washington DC.
